Find What Skin Type You Are In 5 Minutes Or Less (Quiz) 2 min read

Humans are extremely diverse creatures, with differing personalities, hair and eye color, skin tone, and even skin types. Knowing your skin type is more than keeping track of another trait that makes you unique.

Understanding your skin type is the first step to finding the right skincare products for you. There is a reason beauty companies create different versions of the same product, and it’s not just to take your money! Different products do different things, and using the wrong type of product for your skin could result in irritation and breakouts.

Find out what your skin type is with the quick and easy quiz below.

In case you were curious, these were the four different skin types found in this quiz:

  • Dry skin
  • Oily skin
  • Combination skin (a combination of dry and oily skin)
  • Normal skin

So, why should you care? Since there are different skin types, it’s important to choose the right skincare products for you. Using the wrong products could cause your skin to become irritated or break out. For example, if you have dry skin, using products with alcohol could dry your skin out further and even cause breakouts.

Bonus tip: It can be hard to determine if you have combination skin because some people confuse it as oily skin. One quick test is to take a look at your face after you wash it. If there are oily patches on your face rather than oil all around, you probably have combination skin.

Were you surprised with your results, or was it exactly what you thought it would be? Now that you have this information, you can create your own custom skincare routine. Check out How to Get Healthy, Glowing Skin on a Budget to create a skincare routine that is perfect for you!
